The 12th annual Native Spirit Film Festival returns to London’s historic Bloomsbury to present Indigenous Film, Native Media and Artists, with some focus on languages in the run-up to UNESCO 2019 Year of Indigenous Languages.
Join us on Thursday 11th October 5.30-9pm for our Opening Night film BLACK DIVAZ at THE CHANCELLOR’S HALL Senate House introduced by Greta Morton Elangué, founder of the Festival of Indigenous Australian Cinema in Paris. Drinks reception and Senate House Library curated display of illustrated Indigenous language books, special guest Aymara speaker ARMANDO BAUTISTA GARCIA of Lista Calista Films, Shorts from Open World Research Initiative project: Cross-Language Dynamics: Reshaping Community. The Human Rights Consortium and the Institute of Modern Languages Research, School of Advanced Study, are organising an International conference Fulfilling Indigenous Peoples’ and Minority Rights to Culture and Language during the day.
