The 14th London International Animation Festival (LIAF 17) returns to the Barbican from 1-10 December with a mammoth celebration of a 200 new and re-discovered animated shorts and features and includes the opening night film (and a lecture) by absurbist Irish filmmaker David Reilly, a timely discussion – Female Figures – about the onscreen representation of women, as well as ScreenTalks, forums, and international competition programmes including British Showcase, Animated Documentaries and Abstract Showcase.
